Overview
CAS, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme, is launching Lebanon’s first gender statistical report entitled “The Life of Women and Men in Lebanon: A Statistical Portrait”.
The event features opening remarks by Dr. Maral Tutelian Guidanian, Director General of CAS, and Ms. Céline Moyroud, UNDP Resident Representative.
The launch also includes a presentation of the main findings delivered by Ms. Lantona Sado, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Ms. Kawthar Dara, with the participation of former Minister Dr. Wafa’ Dikah Hamze, former MP Mr. Ghassan Moukheiber, and Dr. Fadia Kiwan, Director General of the Arab Women Organization.
The report provides a comprehensive statistical overview of gender differences in Lebanon between 2004 and 2019, covering demography, health, education, labour market, socio-economic conditions, decision-making, and human rights.
