Participation of the Central Administration of Statistics in the 14th Session of the Statistical Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-StatCom).

The Director General of the Central Administration of Statistics, Mrs. Maria Nalbandian, participated in the 14th Session of the Statistical Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-StatCom), held in Ankara, Republic of Türkiye, from 1 to 3 October 2025, with the participation of representatives from member states as well as regional and international organizations. The meetings addressed a number of key statistical and developmental topics, including: * Strengthening the role of national statistical offices in the era of digital transformation. * Monitoring the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on quality education and poverty reduction. * Developing the statistical capacities of member states and promoting the exchange of expertise in official data. * Discussing and adopting the OIC-StatCom Program of Work for the period 2026–2030. The participation of the Central Administration of Statistics in this session reflects its commitment to fostering regional and international cooperation in the statistical field and to promoting the exchange of experiences and best practices, thereby contributing to the development of the national statistical system and supporting efforts to achieve sustainable development. The Central Administration of Statistics extends its sincere appreciation to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) and the Secretariat of the OIC Statistical Commission (OIC-StatCom) for their excellent organization, warm hospitality, and dedicated efforts in ensuring the success of this session.
