Our History
📜 The Central Administration of Statistics (CAS) is a public Administration within the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. Our mission is to collect, process, produce and disseminate social and economic statistics at the national level and to provide all users with evidence–based information for decision making. We are also in charge of the technical supervision of statistics produced by other ministries and public administrations as well as improving methods and harmonizing statistics.

🏢 The Central Administration of Statistics (CAS) operates under the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and is led by a Director General. The institution is structured into specialized technical departments responsible for various statistical domains such as population and social statistics, economic statistics, national accounts, field operations, IT and data processing, and dissemination. Supporting units handle administration, planning, coordination, and communication. The structure ensures efficiency, quality, and adherence to international standards in the production of official statistics.
