Overview
The Central Administration of Statistics (CAS), with the technical and financial support of UNICEF, including the Global MICS Team, launched the results of the Sub-National Lebanon Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS 2023) during an event held at the Grand Serail in Beirut.
The event brought together representatives from government institutions, international organizations, and development partners to present the main findings of the survey and discuss the importance of reliable and timely data in supporting evidence-based policymaking.
The MICS 2023 survey was originally designed to produce national-level estimates. However, due to security constraints encountered during data collection, the results were published only for the governorates and regions where data collection was successfully completed.
Accordingly, findings are available for Beirut, North Lebanon, Akkar, Mount Lebanon, and Bekaa, as well as for settlements of displaced Syrians and camps of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. The governorates of Nabatieh, Baalbeck-Hermel, and South Lebanon are not included in the published results.
