SDMX Workshop in Amman

In Amman, ESCWA, the Arab Institute for Training and Statistical Research, and the UN Statistics Division organized a joint workshop on using SDMX standards for reporting Sustainable Development Goals indicators. The workshop focused on enhancing the capacities of Arab countries in exchanging national data, raising awareness of the latest developments in data sharing, and supporting the implementation of SDMX standards at the national level The sessions covered advanced tools for data exchange and publication, including: 🔹 Adapting the structure of SDG indicator data for national use 🔹 Introduction to the Integrated Metadata Registry 🔹 Publishing data using the .stat suite 🔹 Reviewing the ESCWA Arab Development Portal as a tool for data support, policy innovation, and interactive dashboards The Central Administration of Statistics (CAS) in Lebanon was represented at this workshop by Ms. Hanane Slim, reflecting the administration’s commitment to keeping up with the latest international standards in managing and publishing statistical data.
