CAS and OMSAR Discuss Integrating Behavioral Sciences into the National Anti-Corruption Strategy
The Director General of the Central Administration of Statistics held a meeting with representatives from the Ministry of Administrative Development (OMSAR), during which discussions focused on integrating behavioral sciences into the update of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy, with the aim of promoting a culture of integrity and accountability. The meeting also addressed the main challenges facing administrative work, along with mechanisms to enhance transparency, accountability, and institutional performance. In this context, participants highlighted that incorporating behavioral sciences into the process of updating the National Anti-Corruption Strategy represents a pivotal step toward strengthening the values of integrity and accountability within society and state institutions. By relying on behavioral approaches that draw on an understanding of human motivation and decision-making processes, it becomes possible to design more effective anti-corruption policies — not only through oversight and sanctions, but also by positively influencing daily values and practices, and fostering a work environment based on ethics, transparency, and social responsibility.
