Advancing Anticipatory Action in Lebanon

The Central Administration of Statistics was pleased to participate, represented by Mrs. Nadine Saade, as part of the Lebanese Red Cross Disaster Risk Reduction Unit, in the Workshop on Impact-Based Forecasting (IbF) for Anticipatory Action. The event was organized in collaboration with DRMU, CNRS, the French Red Cross, and the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre, under the Rofaka’a al Nahr project funded by AFD and Danida. The workshop brought together key national stakeholders, including Meteo Lebanon, partner National Societies, UN agencies, and ministries, to strengthen knowledge and co-develop an IbF plan for Lebanon. Beyond the technical work, it provided a valuable space for sharing experiences, aligning mandates, and reinforcing partnerships, all aimed at enhancing national preparedness and community resilience.
